Appearing in Court
Before you can enter the Ramsey County District Court’s Main Courthouse, you must pass through a security area. All items you carry will be put through an x-ray machine, and you’ll have to walk through a metal detector.
Items that aren’t allowed in court include:
- Guns
- Ammunition
- Knives
- Chemical sprays
- Explosives
- Flammable liquid, and
- Replica or toy versions of these items
Your Notice to Appear may not include a room number. To avoid any confusion on the day of your court appearance, check the scheduling screens in Room 130 on the courthouse’s main floor for your assigned courtroom.
